Develop essential animal handling skills to build a career in animal care

During this visit to the region’s newest state-of-the-art animal rescue organization, you will have the opportunity to conduct informational interviews with staff, learn about the various programs offered to support pets and families, and explore the real-world experience provided by their volunteer opportunities.

This event will give you the opportunity to get the information you need to help decide on a future career in animal welfare. You will also learn the social and interpersonal skills needed to work with animals and the humans who support them physically and financially. With discussions on the animal care labor market and pathways to the various careers in this field, you will have the information you need to start making a career choice.

About Seattle Humane

Seattle Humane is more than a shelter; they are a community resource center for pets and the humans who love them. They are also training the next generation of veterinarians in their state-of-the-art medical center and building a community of animal advocates through their volunteer and youth education programs.
