SSI Work Incentives for Youth

SSI-Eligible Youth can work if they know about work incentives offered by the Social Security Administration. 

Ray Cebula, a distinguished lawyer from Cornell University’s Yang-Tan Institute on Employment & Disability, will cover essential topics such as:

  • Student Earned Income Exclusion (SEIE)
  • Deductions for certain medical items required for work
  • Protecting Medicaid coverage
  • Re-qualifying for SSI as an adult
  • Qualifying for SSI at age 18

Come learn about these incentives and how to protect important health care benefits.

This event is tailored specifically for our 14-21-year-old transition students and their parents/guardians to provide valuable insights into the work incentives offered by the Social Security Administration for SSI-eligible youth.
